BEWARE OF GLOBAL RESORT MANAGEMENT OFFERS!

OBB Rating: Warning! The Online Business Bureau has unresolved complaints on file against Global Resort Management. Proceed with caution if you choose to do business with this company.

Dear Members,

Unfortunately, there are some very unscrupulous timeshare offers being made to our members. One is from this company, Global Resort Management, who is offering to get you a sale of your timeshare interval that will pay you several thousand dollars. All you have to do is to pay them a fee up front to get your interval listed and the deal is done. Well, too many of our members have been burned by this type of company. It is not true, they will take your money and list your week for sale, but most of the time they just forget you and go away.

There is a certain type of business that has developed in the timeshare world recently that preys upon the unsuspecting, hopeful timeshare owner who really needs to sell their timeshare. Either they can no longer use it or they can’t afford the maintenance fees, or for many other reasons they just have to get it sold. These companies promise to take title and ownership and pay your fees for you. But they don’t, and if they can’t sell it, it still sits in your name and the association comes to you for annual payment while you thought it had already been transferred.

Please do not trust companies that are promising the world and catering to your greatest desires. If anyone approaches you with a plan for you to pay them to list your week for sale, please know that it is a poor plan. They are getting their payment up front and don’t have to work for you to find a buyer. Do not use such a company.

Do your own research before you agree to work with anyone. A quick search of the Better Business Bureau site http://www.onlinebusinessbureau.com/Companyrating.cfm?Company would have quickly shown you that there are numerous complaints about a company called Global Resort Management as shown above. Please be very careful who you choose to do business with. They should do their job for you before they are paid. If they are legitimate, they won’t ask for up-front fees or the transfer of your title until they are ready to pay you.
