Resort Manager - Whistler, BC

Trading Places Management – Canada is looking for someone to participate in and oversee the delivery of all essential services necessary to provide owners and guests with an excellent vacation experience. To oversee and ensure the delivery of high quality operations for the resort and association while maintaining budgetary controls, and special duties as assigned.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: Minimum of two years full time experience as an acting Resort Manager or a minimum of five years experience as an acting Resort Manager managing a resort/hotel/motel operation . A working knowledge of computers and software programs such as Microsoft Word or other word processing programs, Excel or other spreadsheet programs, and able to quickly learn and supervise front desk reservations, check-in and check-out, maintenance, and housekeeping computer programs. Typing speed shall be 55 words per minute or more.

SKILLS AND APTITUDES: Leader with ability to motivate others; strong command of the English language; ability to communicate using the French language is a great benefit; Ability to manage multiple tasks; Possess natural ability to be courteous, friendly and hospitable; Strengths in accounting for formulating and managing $1 Million budgets; Ability to communicate well with supervisors, board members and employees both in writing and verbal. Use of Internet and Email is necessary; able to work productively with little supervision; trustworthy and reliable; customer service oriented.

Vacation Specialist – Lahaina, HI

Trading Places International (TPI) is currently seeking a full-time, self-motivated Vacation Specialist for our satellite desk on Maui.

Skills Required:
- Computer literate – Windows environment, Microsoft Office
- Accuracy, detail-oriented, multi-tasking, problem solving, great communication skills, accounting, collections, organizational skills, constant job focus.

Job Summary:
Provides customer service, facilitates vacation exchanges. Up/cross-sells all of TPI's services. Communicates with TPI members & on-site guests via email, phone, and one-on-one consultations. Strives to meet productivity goals.

- Creates vacation experiences by working with clients one on one and over the phone.
- Assists with on-site marketing needs to promote TPI's exchange program
- Builds/Maintains relationships with resort staff and the clients.
- Utilizes state of the art reservation systems to successfully confirm vacation exchanges
- Comprehensive training that develops the skills required to be successful immediately following completion

Staff Accountant – Laguna Niguel, CA

Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for multiple resort properties as assigned. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, accurately recording financial transactions, reconciling and maintaining bank accounts, reviewing and verifying vendor invoices for proper coding and approvals, preparing and recording monthly journal entries, preparing accurate monthly financial statements and related reports, monitoring cash balances, maintaining adequate documentation to prove all general ledger balances, maintaining all financials schedules and files so that they are always current and neat, assisting with year end audits and preparation for audits, and assisting with annual budget preparation.

Skills Required/Desired:
- BS in accounting or three or more years experience in bookkeeping including understanding of general accounting practices and principles.
- Ability to work independently on a variety of tasks including bank reconciliations, journal entry postings, account transfers, and line item budget reviews
- Ability to produce a variety of accounting records and entries in an accurate and timely manner each month
- Good time management skills.
- Ten-key by touch, proficiency with Excel and Word and automated account software.
